My name is Mike Lewis. I was born in Spokane, WA in 1971. I have been married for 18 years and have 4 very wonderful children. I am a 37 year old Singer/Songwriter on the Blaze Records label. A Indy label from ohio with Sony connections. I am also a Songwriter/musician for G-Spot Productions. A R&B/Soul label from Boise, ID. I began playing guitar and writing songs at the age of 15. It was always just a hobby playing at private events for fun. I was inspired about 4 years ago when I met Steve Holy. We got to know each other pretty well although his sister Meg was really awsome. After spending the entire day with Steve. That night I was standing there at the stairs to the backstage watching him perform and talking with his sister I knew that was exactly what I wanted to do. I then purchased all the equipment needed to start recording my own songs. I was a printing pressman by day and a songwriter by night. The first year I began my career as a songwriter I found myself so wrapped up in my music. I spent 4 hours a night in the studio writing and all day Sundays. I calculated 2400 hours in the first year in my studio. My big song was when I was sitting in my studio one Sunday and I had this really great rhythm going and I just started kind of making up lyrics and came up with the “Taylor Swift” Idea. After I recorded the song and put it on myspace it just kind of took off. Taylor Swift fansites were playing it all over the place. I never thought the song would go crazy the way it did. Anyway I started getting all these lyricists asking me to help them. Being the kind of good hearted guy I am. I agreed to help them put music to their lyrics and co-write together. So we wrote about 6 songs together. Recently I feel I have been blessed by getting hooked up with Ray Stephenson a Sony signed writer. The same guy that wrote “Willie’s Guitar” and many more songs that have been recorded by 25 or so major singers including Steve Holy, Guy Clark and the Wilkinsons just to name a

From time to time, RevKess and KaliSara do get very serious with their topics. This week's episode is an example of that. We've all seen or heard of, or even experienced, harassment, intolerance and bullying of one kind or another. Everything from kids pushing each other around on the school playground to coworkers sexually harassing each other. But just how seriously do we take such actions? "Kids will be kids" is one thing, when does that lead to kids being bullies or to them growing up and being violent criminals? On the other hand, when does the victim of such circumstances fight back or totally give up? This week our hosts are going to discuss various forms of intolerance, harassment, and bullying. Not just how it applies to children or work environments. They will also discuss some of the ramifications of such actions on a religio-spiritual level. February 20th is called Tempest Smith Day. In 2001, after years of harassment and bullying for her religious and personal views, Tempest Smith took her own life. Since then, her mother has built a campaign to fight such intolerance and harassment. IT MADE ME REMEMBER LONG SUMMERS BACK IN MY SMALL HOMETOWN THAT SEEMED SHORT ONCE SCHOOL STARTED. THE FINA STATION, THE JULIP LADY, THE REC CENTER, PLAYING THROW IT UP AND RUN FOOTBALL, AND ESPECIALLY HIDE AND GO GET IT! I FEEL SORRY FOR MY KIDS. PLAYSTATION AND Wii PLUS A GENERAL DISTRUST IN URBAN SOCIETY HAS MADE THEM HOUSE KIDS ALONG WITH THEIR WHOLE NEIGHBORHOOD. BUT I GREW UP VERY DIFFERENT. I KNEW EVERY KID ON MY STREET. You wake up in the morning feeling great and then the annoyances set in and you feel like your whole day is messed up. And you know all those inspirational books that instruct you to turn the other cheek go with the flow, take everything in your stride? Well, this isn’t that kind of book. Charlie Rubin’s idea is much better: take all those annoying experiences, put them in a book, and sell them. After doing that, the best thing to do is F&F (file and forget). Learn how to deal with annoyances and move right past them so they don't mess up a perfect day from someone who has obviously endured the slings and arrows of outrageous rudeness and insensitivity that most members of society endure, but he came out laughing.
